I’ve been a big fan of Frank Gehry’s work for a long time. Sydney Pollock’s documentary “Sketches of Gehry” provides insight into Gehry’s mind and creative process. If you’re a fan of Gehry’s architecture then you’ll heart this documentary.

If you are going to do a documentary on one of “the greats” like Mies van der Rohe you’d better have a good concept and the ability to execute the idea. Unfortunately this documentary completely misses the mark, which is sad.
However, I managed to catch this film at Music box (one of my favorite theaters btw) on the day that they were having a panel discussion. It was comedic to see the director Joseph Hillel squirm in his seat and then abruptly say “no more questions” when asked some tough questions about the film’s content.
The Chicago White Sox sweep St. Louis to win their first world series title in 86 years.
