Hi, I'm Brian. I'm an Artist + Designer living in Chicago.
This is my space to talk about my art and sometimes other things like pop culture, advertising and robots.
I had an the chance to attend the Creative Chicago Expo. The Expo is sponsored by The Chicago Artists Resource (CAR) and located at the Chicago Cultural Center.
There were multiple conversations throughout the day with various artists. One conversation that was particularly interesting was one between Martin Atkins and Rob Ray.
Atkins and Ray discussed life in the music industry, art and managing time for projects. They also talked about the intersection of business and art.
You can hear the full conversation here.
Martin Atkins is a musician, producer and entrepreneur, who runs Invisible Records and the Mattress Factory Studio in Bridgeport. Atkins played with Public Image Ltd., Killing Joke, Ministry, Pigface, and Nine Inch Nails and produces Skinny Puppy, Killing Joke and others bands.
